Water - Heart Attacks

How water can help prevent HEART ATTACKS !

How many folks do you know who say they don't want to drink anything before going to bed because they'll have to get up during the night.

Heart Attack and Water - I never knew all of this!

 Interesting.......

Something else I didn't know ... I asked my Doctor why people need to urinate so much at night time. Answer from my Cardiac Doctor - Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright (legs swell). When you lie down and the lower body (legs and etc) seeks level with the kidneys, it is then that the kidneys remove the water because it is easier. This then ties in with the last statement!

I knew you need your minimum water to help flush the toxins out of your body, but this was news to me. The correct time to drink water...
Very Important. From A Cardiac Specialist!

Drinking water at a certain time maximizes its effectiveness on the body
2 glasses of water after waking up - helps activate internal organs

1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion

1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure

1 glass of water before going to bed - can avoid both a stroke or a heart attack
I can also add to this... My Physician told me that water at bedtime will also help prevent night time leg cramps. Your leg muscles are seeking hydration when they cramp and wake you up with a Charlie Horse.

Mayo Clinic Aspirin Dr. Virend Somers, is a Cardiologist from the Mayo Clinic, who is lead author of the report in the July 29, 2008 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
Most heart attacks occur in the day, generally between 6 A.M. and noon. Having one during the night, when the heart should be most at rest, means that something unusual happened. Somers and his colleagues have been working for a decade to show that sleep apnea is to blame:

1. If you take an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at night.
The reason: Aspirin has a 24-hour "half-life"; therefore, if most heart attacks happen in the wee hours of the morning, the Aspirin would be strongest in your system.

2. FYI, Aspirin lasts a really long time in your medicine chest, for years, (when it gets old, it smells like vinegar).

Something that we can do to help ourselves - nice to know. Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve instantly on the tongue.
They work much faster than the tablets.

Why keep Aspirin by your bedside?

It's about Heart Attacks.
There are other symptoms of a heart attack, besides the pain on the left arm. One must also be aware of intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating; however, these symptoms may also occur less frequently.

Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack.
The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.
If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.

Afterward: - Call 911. - Phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by.- Say "heart attack!" - Say that you have taken 2 Aspirins.

Take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and ...

DO NOT LIE DOWN!

A Cardiologist has stated that if each person after receiving this e-mail, sends it to 10 people, probably one life could be saved!

I have already shared this information. What about you?

What is on your mind?

There is no good worrying over yesterday - yesterday is gone  - forget it;
tomorrow hasn't come yet - don't worry. Only today is here - USE it!
Set yourself certain things you are going to do today.

By these actions you are sowing the seed of your tomorrow;
so let today's seed be good seed, and tomorrow's fruit will be likewise.
In this new method of thinking—in this new outlook which you are cultivating,
you will discover a brighter outlook on life. Of course you will fail sometimes, but that does not matter. All you do is to forget any failure, then put it behind you and begin all over again. Do what is positive and uplifting!

Do not think "I can't"; wipe out these words from your vocabulary. All you need is practice. Always guard against fatigue for it is the enemy of Thought Control and avoid unhappiness. For when one is tired, dark and undesirable thoughts creep into the mind and they meet with very little resistance. So, when you are tired, take it as a warning from Nature—sleep, rest or a change of occupation is indicated.  CHANGE is the answer!

Always choose to think happy, successful, confident thoughts. As soon as a sad or counter productive thought enters the mind refuse it; switch it over to a confident, constructive thought. Once you choose this thaught patern it will become natural to you, so that all your thoughts will become constructive.
Remember that as a man (or a woman) thinks, so is he.

So, if you think thoughts of failure, you will be a failure; think success thoughts and you will be a success.

Set our priorities then focus on them

** Each person has their own views and once we come to learn what our destiny is; we must not allow the conduct of others get in our way or deter us from our appointed tasks and eternal calling.
John 21:21 (NKJV)

21 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?”

Jesus had just told Peter to follow Him. However, Peter wanted to know what the Lord had planned for John. Instead of Jesus answering Peter's question, the Lord told him that what He had in store for John was none of his business.

Satan diverts many people by getting them preoccupied with what others are doing for the Lord. Comparing ourselves with others, whether we come out better or worse, is unwise (2 Cor. 10:12).

We need to be so single-minded following the Lord, that we don't look to the right or to the left to see what others are doing. It doesn't matter if we are doing as much to serve the Lord as someone else. The question is, are we doing all that the Lord wants us to do?

Singleness of purpose and vision is a necessity to victorious Christian living. James said that if we try to master many things we will fail (Jas. 3:1). We have to set priorities and focus on them.

The scriptures teach that memory can be a powerful force for good in our lives.

It is always good to remind ourselves that we were once apart from God's saving grace.

It is an antidote against pride and self-righteousness. A person who remembers what he used to be will have a clearer understanding of who he is now. We have to cultivate our memories by meditating on the great things God has done for us and spoken to us.

Philippians 4
Meditate on These Things

8 Finally, brethren {people}, whatever things are true,

whatever things are noble,

whatever things are just,

whatever things are pure,

whatever things are lovely,

whatever things are of good report,

if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy —

meditate on these things.

9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

11 - I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to [d]be abased, and I know how to [e]abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through [f]Christ who strengthens me.

We should all be about our Father God's business in iur life - not concerned or chasing the idle words and works of this earth!
